Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Okay. This time the gloves are off and the cleats are on. I’ve abandoned the butcher’s bike and invested in some shiny new wheels. Not promising to be any faster than last year but it should look better in the photos!

Life Cycle 2 is shaping up nicely. A more scenic route, a few more hills and a strong team of riders with an excellent support crew lined up. The main challenge is going to come from the unpredictable Atlantic weather as we zigzag down the west coast. My Homebase wellies will be close to hand…

Life Cycle 1 was unknown territory for us but the team raised a stunning £229k to support palliative care. It’s terrific to know that work is now underway with the funding we raised to provide people with comfort and dignity at the end of their lives.

LC2 picks up a wholly different challenge. It will help those from economically or socially disadvantaged backgrounds to access higher education. This isn’t just important for individuals – it’s also critical to develop our society. I know that we can do better this time. Please help if you can.
