Hi everyone, thank you for visiting my fund raising page.

Yep that's right I'm actually running a marathon....I know mad isn't it, you should see my little legs go!

I'm running the marathon in memory of my big sister Karen, and to raise much needed cash for East Cheshire and Blythe House, the two hospices that looked after her whilst she was poorly. For those that didn't know my sis, Karen was full of life, a bit of a lovely nutcase if I'm honest, and loved by everyone that knew her. I can just hear her saying now, what are you doing running a marathon you idiot....go and get yourself to the pub! 

The two hospices I'm raising money for provide fantastic care for people with life threatening illnesses, during Karen's illness, the care, love and attention she received from both hospices was absolutely brilliant. With the government only covering about 25% of the hospices costs, they need to raise a significant amount of money just to keep the doors open.

Our family and friends have raised nearly £70k for these two charities over the last few years and want to raise a lot more, as you can imagine these charities mean a lot to us with the care that they gave to Karen, and continue to give to others.

So back to my marathon, I'm looking to finish 4 1/2 hrs and will be very much looking forward to enjoying myself in Las Vegas afterwards.....as well as resting my weary feet with a nice cold beer in my hands!
