Nine months ago, my family and I were unexpectedly and shockingly plunged into the world of cancer and cancer treatment. Going from thinking I had flu to being given a diagnosis of Stage 3 Ovarian cancer at 41 and a week before Christmas was a shock to say the least. Two major surgeries and 6 rounds of chemo later, my world, my husband's world and my two boys world has been changed forever. At this point I am treatment free and have a window of opportunity to focus on all the positives. One of those positives is to get my fitness back and continue to gain strength to continue fighting this head on. To motivate me I am intending, along with my hubby to run the Bangor 10k on Saturday 24th September in aid of Macmillan cancer support. We have ran this for last 5 years and it will mean alot to me to be able to do so again this year.
