You know I love a donkey.  And I've kept in touch with some lovely people in the Gambia for many years since our trip to Makasutu.  So this birthday I'm suggesting the donkeys need a gift more than I do.

This little charity has been running for almost 20 years and is really progressive, providing education and training in addition to rescue and veterinary support.  Donkeys often have to work hard in the Gambia - lots of areas are rural, basic and still don't even have electricity - and this charity makes sure they're well looked after even if their owners are struggling financially.
