November 28th, 2018 will mark 10 years since the accident involving Clare, Fiona, Jo and Michelle.  

On a weekend away in Ludlow Shropshire, the girls found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. A local bus driver sadly had a fatal heart attack at the wheel, mounted the pavement and ploughed into the girls. All four sustained injuries but Jo’s was life threatening. Thankfully she received life saving treatment at the roadside, which enabled her to get to the hospital for emergency surgery that night. The treatment she received wouldn’t have been possible without the Charity MARS - Mercia Accident Rescue Services and Dr Malcolm Russell. The Charity is made up of volunteer Drs and Surgeons who are able to perform life saving treatment at the roadside for major trauma situations. MARS is run entirely through donations, the medical experts give their time for free and events such as this Charity Christmas Ball help to keep them on the road and their emergency bag in full supply. 

Over the 10 years the girls have organised a variety of charitable efforts for MARS and have raised over £20,000, the girls give thanks to all their friends and family who continue to support their fund raising endeavours.
