I am running the Virgin Money London Marathon on 22/04/2018. As a seasoned veteran of multiple (ultra) marathons, my participation in the marathon and is actually a training run for a fifty mile race in May (!!) rather than a challenge in itself. However, to keep things interesting, I am offering a sweepstake on the amount of time I spend suffering over 26.2 miles in the VMLM on 22nd April in the aid of the NSPCC.

Suggested minimum “bet” is £5.00 and the closest guess to the actual time run (chip time not gun time) on 22.04 will win. Please donate via Justgiving, being sure to mention your guess to the nearest second (e.g. 04:44:44) in the comments section for your donation, along with your name. Any donations will go towards the great work the NSPCC do in combating child abuse, something far too prevalent in our Society.

So you can make a better educated guess, be aware that I have run a 1:26 half marathon, a few 38 minute 10ks and several 18 minute 5k races in training but not yet gone under 3:25:00 for a marathon. I’m planning on going out hard and clinging on for dear life so anything could happen...
