Shell Chester Half Marathon 2013 · 12 May 2013 ·

For 50 years, Kidney Care UK has been providing direct support for kidney patients and working hard to improve health and care services across the UK. With no government funding, it is your donations alone that improves life for kidney patients.

Story

I have now completed the run. It was ridiculously hard. My calves ached, and my legs seemed to be questioning why a goalkeeper was attempting to run for such a long period of time.

The half-marathon really did provide an opportune moment to raise money for a charity that was a great support network before and after my dad passed away. Please remember 89% of people on the waiting list for an organ transplant in the UK are awaiting a kidney transplant. My chosen charity are excellent at supporting these people, and their families, both before and after transplants.

It is an excellent cause and I would appreciate any donation however small or large. This page will remain open for a couple of months so continue to give if you can. Donate whatever you wish, but please be as generous as you can. Thank you for your generosity in advance.
