Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hopefully by now most of you will know that I'm taking part in Strictly Inverness 2012. For those of you not cool enough to know what that means, sit back, relax and let me explain.

Stritcly Inverness is a charity event run by Highland Hospice in conjunction with Inverness Ice Centre. The idea is that they take 28 average Joes - like me and my dance partner Ashley - and through 14 weeks of intense professional training, turn us into dancing machines! Our training concludes with a "Strictly Come Dancing"-esque extravaganza on the 11th May 2012 where all us couple compete against each other to be crowned Winners of Strictly Inverness. So, how did I get involved in such an event I hear you ask. Well, for the past few years my employer, Clydesdale Bank, has chosen Help the Hospice as its Charity Partner. With this partnership, each office gets twinned with a local Hospice and in my case its Highland Hospice. Over the years I have done my best to take part in as many events organised by the Hospice as I can (including 10k runs, 15 mile cycles, It's a Knockout and Hill Walking challenges) so when the opportunity came up to to take part in their biggest event, I couldn't say no!

I would very much appreciate it if you could sponsor me for this event with as much or as little as you can spare. Highland Hospice do an excellent job serving adults with incuarable, life limiting illnesses throughout the whole of the Highlands of Scotland however they really need donations to continue to provide these services. So please, please give what you can. Due to the Partnership between Clydesdale Bank and the Hospice, the Bank has agreed to match whatever sponsorship I make which will effectively double whatever you donate (50% goes to Highland Hospice and the other 50% goes to Help the Hospices).

Thanks again for visiting my page and if you fancy coming along to support me on the big night then let me know and I'll look into sorting out tickets for you.
