Story

With extreme sadness, heart breaking and devastating news of our dear friend Christy Jordan, passed away at home on 10 May 2017. Christy courageously had been battling a Brain Tumour since December 2015. Christy was just 10 years old, two weeks short of his 11th birthday.

Christy was a much loved and popular pupil at St Thomas Beckett Primary School and the Parish of Our Lady of The Annunciation Catholic Church in Croydon.

Christy joined Beccehamian RFC at 5 years old in 2011, and loved everything about rugby, the environment and his club.  The club are honoured that the Jordan family have allowed us to name our annual mini rugby spring festival in loving memory of such a wonderful boy, with the focus on charitable fundraising for The Brain Tumour Charity.

"The Christy Jordan Memorial Festival" will give the family a chance to focus attention on fundraising specifically for paediatric Brain Tumours, as this is an area that accounts for only 1% of general cancer funding research hence the targeted fundraising.

Thank you so much for your support, any donations would be very gratefully received and appreciated.
