I'm running the Edinburgh Marathon 2023 to raise money for Scottish Veteran's Residencies in honour of my dad Keith McKenzie who was taken from us far too early on the 11th of November 2021 due to COVID complications.

He was a resident at Whitefoord House (Scottish Veteran's Residencies) for many years following a brain injury and PTSD from his time serving in the military. During his time there he set up a charity designed to help other residents with PTSD through the means of mindfulness retreats. He was a big part of the SVR community and is sorely missed by everyone there.

The money raised will help other Armed Forces veterans like my dad who need their help because of homelessness or ill health. They are provided with accommodation, catering and support with reintegration into civilian life.
