We provide free Type 1 Diabetes care to give young people health and hope

Story

On 25th April Vicky, Marie, Niamh, Nicole, Lucy and myself will be attempting to walk 50 miles in 24 hours in the Peak District. It’s basically walking from Nottingham to Birmingham....

None of us are long distance walkers and we’ve definitely never walked through the night. We are desperately trying to fit training in around kids, work and other commitments but we are determined to give it our best shot to raise some money for this important cause.

Action4Diabetics (A4D) is a UK registered charity that provides essential medication and support to young people with Type 1 Diabetes in Southeast Asia. £450 is enough to provide one child with the care they need to survive and thrive for one year.

T1D strikes indiscriminately and if untreated is fatal. In the UK, people with this condition receive free care through the NHS but in the countries where A4D operate, there are still hundreds, if not thousands, of young people who die every year through lack of access to Insulin and blood testing equipment. But A4D are trying to change this.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
