Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.....

I've decided that this year I'm going to give the 5K a miss and venture onto the 10K.... :-)

I've chosen a charity that is very close to my heart which is Kidney Kids Scotland,  Kidney Kids Scotland relies on donations and as most of you will know, my niece suffers from a kidney disorder known as "Nephrotic Syndrome" hence the reason this charity means a lot to me.

The money raised will go direct to Kidney Kids Scotland ....

"The charity’s main objective is to enable children to receive treatment as close to home as possible, minimizing the disruption to the family unit. We achieve this by working closely and relying on the expertise of Consultants, Medical and Welfare personnel to identify where we can best provide help"
"The charity supports hospitals all over Scotland supplying them with much needed equipment and funding for posts recognized as being essential. In addition to support given to hospitals we have contributed a great deal to individual families who have been financially disadvantaged by their child’s renal illness. These families come from ALL over Scotland. Kidney Kids Scotland has been instrumental in funding and developing The Paediatric Renal Network in Scotland"

Please dig deep and sponsor me, no matter the amount as every penny counts....

Thanks,

Ciara xxx

"There is no cure for kidney disease. We need to understand why kidney and urinary tract diseases occur in children. And we need to improve the diagnosis and treatment of these, sometimes life-threatening, conditions"

Professor Adrian Woolf (Institute of Child Health / Great Ormond Street Hospital)
