Start Small is a UK based charity founded in 2011 and working in Nakuru, Kenya sponsoring children to attend school, providing meals for 780 children in schools in the slum, distributing sanitary pads and empowering woman by helping them open small businesses. 

Start Small has grown massively over the last few years having started with 3 sponsor children in June 2011 and we now August 2018 we sponsor 96 children to attend schools across the Nakuru County.  This means our expenses have skyrocketed, we have our sponsors who kindly donate to help our children and projects but it simply isn’t enough so we’d like to run a large annual fundraiser to relieve some of the stress and burden from us and help ensure we can continue to make a huge difference to people living in poverty.  These funds will also help us in emergencies, for example helping a very sick child or helping an abused Mom get away and quite simply give us the opportunity to help more and more people who desperately need it.

So, we have come up with a fabulous, relatively easy fundraising idea for Start Small.  We have asked 100 friends of Start Small to ask 10 of their friends to donate £10 or the equivalent to Start Small.  We appreciate some of you would not want to ask your family and friends and in that case maybe you can donate the full amount yourself or split it between two or three of you?
