Nuts challenge · 2 September 2017

Our mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with a learning disability and their carers. We do this by providing play, leisure, learning and respite opportunities. "My child was safe, happy and excited about going, she was cared for but not just left to get on with it" (Parent)

Story

For those who don't already know, I have been working for a charity who supports children and adults with special needs called Sutton Mencap, for 4 years now. It is a charity that is extremely close to my heart as I can see all the benefits it gives not only people with special needs but their parents/carers too first hand.

We rely on fundraising to enable we give the best possible equipment, facilities and overall support for our service users, as this is where a high majority of our budget comes from.

I may be mad completing this 7k muddy assault course as I have been told it is severely physically challenging, even for the fittest of those out there. However it seems like such a small price to pay to help this amazing charity that supports and benefits the lives of so many around us.

No penny is too little, it will help immensley and we are forever grateful and thankful for any contributions made to us. Roll on the 2nd of September :)
