Rhys' challenge

24th June 2017 - Our group of budding climbers will be setting off to attempt the national 3 Peak challenge!!!

The challenge will see us climb to the summit of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in just 24hrs!!
We are challenging ourselves, to mark what would have been our son Rhys' 10th birthday and to raise cash to say thank you to Donna's Dream House; who provided Rhys and ourselves with an all expenses paid break. They ensured we left rested, with our memory banks brimming with fun and laughter.

Rhys was diagnosed with a degenerative genetic disorder known as Leigh Syndrome, which sadly meant he was only lent to this world for 3yrs 4months.

During his short life, Rhys taught me and Andy more than we ever thought possible in such a limited time. Rhys showed tremendous courage and resilience. He lived life to his absolute potential. He accepted the hand he had been dealt, with a smile on his face and a glow in his heart.

The 3 peaks isn't going to be easy, it will require us to call upon our own inner strength. But we are ready for the climbs ahead. With Rhys in our thoughts and a strong team spirit around us, we are committed to reaching our goal.
