We are a small independent charity to rescue and rehome unwanted cats

Story

My name is Claire and I volunteer for Shropshire cat rescue. Shropshire cat rescue has a retirement village for cats that have health issues that need close monitoring or cats that maybe to old to be rehomed.

Molly is a cat who lives in the village and is going to be 22 years old in February.

I have decided to do 220,000 steps in total in February to help raise funds for the charity and to help Molly celebrate her amazing age. She is an amazing cat and we have a close bond so doing this for the charity is very close to my heart.

Any donation will help with the costs of the shelter.

The charity also helps a lot of cats every day which need to find new homes. The charity has a nursery, a hospital and alot of rehoming pens.

About the charity

A volunteer run organisation providing a foster care network and rehoming service for stray or unwanted cats and kittens. We aim to encourage responsible pet ownership by offering advice on neutering, vaccinating and micro-chipping. We are 100% volunteer run and receive no state funding
