We are all part of a team of colleagues, friends, partners and family of those who work for B3Living, a fantastic employer and social landlord in the Broxbourne area. B3Living are supporting us in our 10k walk to help tackle homophobic bullying schools.
We are taking part because:
- over half of lesbian, gay and bisexual young people experience homophobic bullying at school
- 56% of gay young people have deliberately harmed themselves, including cutting and burning
- 1 in 4 lesbian, gay and bisexual young people have attempted suicide
- 1 in 20 have received death threats.
We all believe that this needs to change, and are supporting Stonewall in actively tackling this, to potentially make a huge difference to the lives and prospects of gay young people.
Thank you so much to all of our sponsors for making our walk worthwhile! The aching calves will be worth it....
