First Touch supports sick and premature babies cared for at St George’s neonatal unit in SW London. We fund state-of-the-art equipment and specialist staff training which are outside of the scope of NHS budgets, as well as a range of initiatives to support families during their stay on the unit.

Story

This year I have three of my good friends joining me in running the Virgin 10k Westminster run in aid of a wonderful charity called First Touch, supporting sick and premature babies in St Georges Neonatal unit in Tooting. All but one of our children were born in this hospital. My friends Richard and Amanda Ward are parents to the lovely Martha, Skyla's best friend. They love her like she is one of their own :)  Skyla was born 12 weeks early and as a result this charity has been and always will be important to me. Also running in our group is Molly Broughton who has a gorgeous son called Jack. Jack was cared for at St Georges Hospital when he came down with a rare and scary virus. Molly also sadly lost a little soul who would've been born at St Georges Hospital in September 2016. A little girl called Emily.First Touch funds very important medical equipment for all of the teeny little babies in St Georges neonatal unit. The consultants, sisters and nurses who care for these little souls are remarkable. Please help us to raise money to go towards a new incubator.
