Story

In February 2017, I was amongst a group of walkers setting out to do a training walk heading up to Wyndy Gayle in the Cheviots. Along the way snow got deeper, 2 people really started to suffer from Hypothermia with others feeling the effects and if that wasn't bad enough a blizzard hit bringing the snow to hip height.
We called for assistance from Mountain Rescue and in the mean time looked for safety and shelter, eventually finding it in a forest.
We had an amazing team of walkers who kept going, kept each other going and was able to give our coordinates to Mountain Rescue. Mountain Rescue arrived in bulk and made the plans and got us to safety.
Luckily everyone recovered well.

Without their help our story could have been very different.

Mountain Rescue is a volunteer service and relies on donations. This experience highlighted to me what a vital service it is and I want to raise money to give something back.
I have already done an event this year to raise money but it's my aim to raise as much as I can this year for them.
Please help me.
