SPONSORED ZIP LINE OVER THE TYNE BRIDGE IN NEWCASTLE · 15 October 2016

We're the UK’s only youth-focused breast cancer awareness charity, on a mission to get every young person checking their chest. We want all young people to know the signs and see their GP if they notice any changes. We do this because early detection saves lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for thus good cause. A good friend of mine battled her way through breast cancer and she is my inspiration. See the beautiful face and smile above this is Rachel.  We may live at the other ends of the country but we keep in touch a lot, she was my ex work mate. Her name is Rachel Mullard. Rachel is kind, caring. She is a great Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, and friend. And I aim to do this zip line for her.

I decided I wanted to do somthing different and so I decided to do a sponsored zip line after researching it I found one coming up in October at Newcastle going over the Tyne Bridge - OMG. I can safely say I am terrified of Heights. Wish me luck.

Also a family member battled her way through Breast cancer and survived.

I have two forms of arthritis and have other chronic pain issues and live on morphine and other pain relief. I weighed in at 92kg a few months ago due to the steroid treatment. Whilst Rachel has inspired me to do this sponsored zip line it has kicked me into touch. Despite my pain I am changing my diet Thanks to Sharon Watson and having help from Danny Dickson at Train fx who is going to help me build up my muscles and helping me get fitter for the event, and I appreciate any help.

I have done fundraising and volunteering since I was 16 years old (I am 37) now. I have raised fifty thousand pounds since I was 16 for various charities.

COPPAFEEL are a great charity and are on a mission to stamp out late detection of Breast cancer. They know the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. You know what your boobs look like and feel normally. Check your boobs regularly and throughout your life. And have the confidence to see your doctor if something does not feel right. A great charity.
