Aberlour Child Care Trust - Firewalking · 7 November 2010 ·

1 in 4 children are living in poverty in Scotland. That isn’t right. Not all children are born with an equal chance. We know that by working together we will beat poverty and discrimination. With your help, we will reach more children and their families earlier, before it’s too late.

Story

Hi

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in a sponsored fire walk on Sunday 7th November 2010 and in doing so I will be raising money for the Aberlour Scotland’s Children’s Charity (SC 007991).

Being honest – I wasn’t familiar with this Charity until very recently – but please take a few minutes to look at www.aberlour.org.uk to look at all the great work they are involved in.

On the day I will be walking over a combination of pine, ash and oak which will be broken down into a 20ft long 3ft wide RED HOT path where the temperature will be in a region of 1236 degrees Fahrenheit!

Some geek facts – paper combusts at 451 degrees and aluminium melts at 1100 degrees!  So think it is fair to say it’s going to be hot hot hot!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

My target is to raise £200 – however it goes without saying that I would like to raise as much as I can for this Charity.

I appreciate any donations.

Thank you

Claire

xx
