Jean Cowie and I have chosen this cycling challenge because these three cancer charities all raise money for a  great cause. We were looking for our next challenge (after cycling Callander to Skye for a few years and raising money for motor neurone disease and the Stv appeal) and this looks like a challenge which will push us both to our limits. We'll be cycling between 43.6 and 46.3 miles a day for 5 days through Brazil. 

Jean and I are going to pay for our own travel and accommodation costs so that every penny we raise goes directly to the charities.
