Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. We love all dogs, and the people who love dogs too. We care for dogs in need through our network of 22 centres across the UK and Ireland, finding them loving new homes. A dog is for Life, not just for Christmas ©

Story

UPDATE!!  UPDATE!! UPDATE!! UPDATE!!

After battling with the very warm conditions for both marathons I am pleased to report that I finally achieved my sub 4.30 at Brighton coming in at 4.28.49.   For the London Marathon Lizzy and myself crossed the line smiling for the camera (of course) in a smidge under the 6 hour mark.  Now just to round it off with the marathon distance walk as part of Ward Walks London!

Well the original intention like every year was to do a Spring Marathon.  For 2011 I had selected Brighton, but of course sod's law struck and I got a ballot place for London.  After much umming and ahhhing it has so ended up that I shall be doing both.  Yes TWO marathons in EIGHT days (well 3 within 4 weeks if you count the marathon distance I will be walking with Kate Ward as part of her 72 miles in 24 hours challenge)!

I shall be going for the PB and hopefully the so far elusive sub 4hours 30 in Brighton and for London I will be running with Lizzy Muggeridge on her marathon debut

Once again I will be raising money for Dogs Trust, caring for and rehoming thousands of abandoned, abused or just plain homeless dogs.

Anything you can spare is much appreciated as I do understand that this I do ask every year for sponsorship and I will not come round to your house to slap you round the face with a wet fish if you don't donate.
