Story
On 20th June 2020 me and my friend Jo Popham will be Walking the 10 in 10 Challenge in the Lake District to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.
MS is a progressive, immune-mediated disorder. That means that the system designed to keep your body health mistakingly attacks parts of your body that are vital to everyday function. The coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged, which leads to diminished funtion in the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord).
It's estimated that 130,000 people in the UK have MS and every week around 100 more people are diagnosed. I was one of those officially diagnosed on 3rd June 2019 and this has really given me to motivation to do something like this and raise money for an excellent cause!
Your donations will help to fund ground breaking research to stop MS in its tracks and help provide support to those diagnosed and their families when they need it most.
Thank you so much taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and
any support you can give will be greatly appreciated!
