Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. At Spinal Research our vision is to create a world where paralysis can be cured, no matter when the injury occurred or where in the world.

Story

I am paying for the skydive myself so all the money raised will go straight to the spinal research unit

Hi guys,  I'm doing a skydive on the 22nd August. I wasn't going to do it for charity as they take such a big percentage of the money to pay for the skydive and I didn't think that was fair. However since booking the skydive my good friend Josh Landmann had a tragic accident while on holiday and has suffered a spinal injury, leaving him unable to move his legs of his own accord. In Josh's case we are hoping he will pull through and make a full recovery. However for many people this sort of injury is long term, so I have decided to raise money for the spinal research unit.  Every year, 1,000 people in the UK and Ireland are paralysed following an injury to their spinal cord. Spinal Research raises money to fund research into clinical treatments as well as vital basic science research. Thanks to such research, paralysis can now be treated and therapies be used that will restore movement and feeling and transform the lives of paralysed people.

I would be grateful for any donations no matter how little you think it might be. Every little helps.

Thankyou.
