Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year,  2 weeks before competing in my first Mountain Bike race, the Ard Rock, I came a right cropper, badly dislocating my shoulder at the top of Gunnerside Gill.  Thanks to the swift peddling action of my lovely friend Gemma, she managed to raise the alarm in Gunnerside and an army of glorious red came to my aid, they were the amazing volunteers of Swaledale Mountain Rescue.  Instantly I felt in safe hands, it wasn't an easy rescue and from fall to ambulance took a long time well into the night, but the spirits of the team were constantly high and made a terrible night much more bearable, I can't thank them enough.  A year later and I finally completed my first Mountain Bike race and now the challenge of my first Duathlon to raise funds for this fabulous organisation.
