In July 2014 my world was turned upside down when my dear Mum was diagnosed with Myeloma - a rare and unforgiving cancer  of the bone marrow. Unfortunately, as my family were later to learn, as yet there is no cure. 

Since then she has fought tirelessly and so very bravely against this horrid disease which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

I hope to raise awareness of this rare type of cancer - there are only around 5000 people diagnosed in the U.K. each year - and my dream, of course, is that one day a cure can be found.  

So, after much deliberation, here I am training hard to run 13.1 miles. Please donate generously to help find a cure to this horrid disease.
