We exist to defend the right to a safe home and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society. We believe that home is everything.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My daughter is eight years old, and following an assembly at school (plus many conversations about the ever increasing queue outside the food bank in Halifax) she has often asked if we can go and find some homeless people to help.

She divided her Christmas sweets, and some change we had, into small bags so that she could donate them when we came across somebody living on the streets.

Over time, we have talked about how, unfortunately, some people pretend to be homeless to collect money off of well meaning individuals.

As part of these discussions we decided that raising money for charities, which can provide much needed help to people who are in genuine need, was a natural and sensible step forward.

And so here we are.

This is what Clarice has to say.

We had an assembly with Reverend Ginette, and she told us about homeless people, and a storm that was coming.

It made me very sad that there are people in this country that do not have a warm home to go to.

Ever since then I have been helping homeless people we see by getting them food or something to drink.

I didn't realise that there were children in this country who are homeless too, and that charities helped them.

I am excited and looking forward to doing the run, it might be a bit hard but it is helping homeless people.

So... if everyone could pleeeease just give one pound that would be brilliant!

Thank you for reading! And supporting us and a great charity!
