Brighton Marathon 2011 · 10 April 2011 ·

Wadars is a Worthing (UK) based Charity established in 1969. The main objectives of the Charity are the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife and the rescue and rehoming of domestic animals. We rely solely on Donations, Legacies and Fundraising to keep us running.

Story

In the summer of 2010 I decided I needed a new challenge; something I had never done before, and so hence the idea of running the 2011 Brighton Marathon was born.

There was never going to be any doubt that I would raise money for an animal charity and hence through the marathon website I signed up with WADARS (Worthing and District Animal Rescue Service).  They help injured wildlife as well as rescuing and re-homing abandoned, neglected and abused domestic pets.

Suddenly and sadly in August 2010 I lost my own beloved rescue dog of nearly nine years; Stella.  In September 2010 I rescued Hamish, a lively "Heinz 57" who is now my new training partner for this event!

So please help me raise more than my target to help other animals like Stella and Hamish.

From them; thank you xx
