Update: 

I did it! I finished the Yorkshire Marathon in 3 hours, 55 minutes and 35 seconds. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me, cheered me on, donated and put up with my whinging about my knee/shoulder/ big toe (the list goes on). 

I feel truly honoured to have represented and raised money for such a brilliant charity. 

I also wanted to list a few inspirational slogans that I pretty much chanted to myself for the last two miles to encourage any future runners: 

"You can, you will" - shouted at me by a lovely lady in Stockton on the Forest. 

"You are stronger than you think you are" - an inspirational crazy iron man friend.

"Scheller Claudia Schneller" my best friends shouting at me and making me feel like a superstar at mile 24 when all I wanted to do was stop.

"You are awesome" an unknown boy holding a poster saying this on the final mile.

On 11 October 2015 I run the Yorkshire Marathon. I will have completed six months of training having run what I estimate to be over 600 miles in 150 hours. This slog is nothing compared to what sufferers and those affected by cancer have to go through every day. Yorkshire Cancer Research helps those fighting to survive and cope with this disease every day, and they are also trying to help us all avoid it by funding innovative research.

Finally, long distance running is made so much easier by the few good men (and women) who come to cheer you along and scream your name. If any of you lovely people are able to cheer me on in York (11 October) (or cheer all of us on in Newcastle on 13 September - see below) I would be very pleased to see your smiling faces.
