One in four people will experience a mental health problem in any given year. This means that most of us either suffer with poor mental health or know somebody who does.
Over the past few years, there has been a big increase in awareness about the importance of looking after our mental health as much as we look after our physical health. While this is a great step forward, it means that services such as those offered by our health services and amazing charities such as Mind are more in demand than ever.
I'm supporting Thurrock and Brentwood Mind by running the 2022 Brentwood Half Marathon, and am hoping to raise much-needed funds to help them continue their incredibly valuable work. Please donate if you can - no amount is too small! Every donation could truly be a gift to someone just like me or you who is struggling with a mental health problem.
