Bupa Great South Run 2014 · 26 October 2014 ·

The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAF's leading welfare charity. We have been there for all members of the RAF Family for over 100 years. Last year we assisted more than 70,000 members of the RAF Family. Support us in 2024 and help us reach even more members of the RAF Family.

Story

A big thank you for visiting my Just Giving site.

Yes,  I am planning to take part in GSR14 (The Great South Run 2014).

This will be the first major running event that I have entered since badly breaking and dislocating my left ankle in a parachuting accident in July 2013.   I spent 11 days in hospital, had three operations and was not able to drive for almost three months.    After  many months of intensive physio   I  am now back to jogging but still will some discomfort.   It is going to be a major challenge to get back to full fitness in time for the Great South Run 2014.     I really would be grateful for your support in this endevour by making a donation to the charity that I believe passionately in,  the RAF Benevolent Fund.   Take some time to read about the truely worthwhile help and assistance they give to members of the "RAF Family",  serving and veterans and their familes.

Every penny donated will give me the encouragement I need to keep soldiering away, attending physio sessions, doing my flexibility exercises and getting out to running, despite some pain and discomfort.

Cheers

Clay
