Help for Heroes is founded on the belief that those who put their lives on the line for us deserve a second chance at life.
Help for Heroes provides recovery and support for the Armed Forces community whose lives are affected by their service, no matter when they served. Every course and activity they offer aims to empower the wounded, injured and sick to look beyond illness and injury, regain their purpose, reach their potential and have a positive impact on society.
In May 2017 I fought in a charity boxing match at Newcastle University and put my life and soul into the training. For those of you who knew me during the process, it was an arduous experience but one that paid off with a win! And I want to push (nearly kill) myself again.
Pushing myself to my limit, emotionally & physically, was immensely challenging but I have to say I did enjoy it and so that's why I've chosen to take part in Tough Mudder (just with a lot less training involved!). The 10 miles and 20 obstacles I will (hopefully) complete on the 28th April is nothing compared to what our armed forces are put under in their training let alone when they go on tour. Having heard stories from my brother who was in the RAF I believe that's true.
If you could spare £5 i would be immensely grateful. It's just one glass of bad wine less a week! Please donate what you can as this is going towards an absolutely fantastic charity whose work is totally under appreciated.
Thanks everyone,
Wish me luck,
Clem xxx
