Clever Clogs

We are a group of ten friends brought together by our mutual love of theatre and appreciation of the work of actor Tom Burke.  Tom is a patron of Box Clever; it is a cause that means a lot to him and he is lending his support to the initiative to mount a production of 
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde to be performed in schools. The appeal will run until 1 December and we  have started and are planning a variety of activities in the next few months to help this very worthy cause.  A small online auction of memorabilia has just finished.  We also hope to do things like a sponsored walk, quizzes and any other ideas we can come up with in the meantime!

The performing arts have been hit particularly hard by the effects of Lockdown and it is more important than ever to support groups like Box Clever, whose work can make such a difference: showing young people how theatre can enrich their lives, and inspiring those who will be the future of dramatic art and their audience.

We believe in the power of theatre to change lives.  We want to help Outside of the Box take  their production of  Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde to young people who wouldn't normally get the chance to experience high quality, professional theatre.  Can you help them reach 10,000 young people in disadvantaged areas across the UK?
