Story

The four of us are going to climb Ben Nevis in support of the Bristol charity MIND.

Unfortunately a few years ago one of us sadly lost a sister who was struggling with her own mental health.

There are many young people dealing with their own Metal Health issues and it’s very common in this day and age so we want to bring awareness to this illness. There are too many young people suffering in silence.

This topic needs to be spoken about openly as some people fear being judged or simply don’t know or understand the symptoms. The more awareness we create around this issue the more people will feel comfortable speaking about it.

But for those people who can't vocalise their issues - its vital they can seek help from charities like MIND.

Not everything is as it seems on the outside. Mental health is real and sometimes it’s happening to the people closest.

Nicole Lever, is the sister of climber Delton Stephenson. This was a charity that was close to Nicole’s heart aswell as her families. She was only 17 when she tragically took her own life due to her own struggle with mental health issues, which devastated her family.

This is why we want to raise money for MIND so other young people can find the help they need and the courage to speak out and hopefully stop someone from feeling how Nicole felt.
