Imagine being told your toddler you thought was healthy, but perhaps slow to progress, in fact had a rare and devastating disability that would leave them needing lifelong 24/7 care. Rett syndrome changes lives irrevocably. With your support Rett UK is there from the beginning. #ToKnowHerIsToLoveHer

Story

My six year old niece Jessie was diagnosed with Rett syndrome last year and I am now looking to raise as much money as possible for the charity Rett UK.

Rett syndrome is a rare neurological disorder affecting mainly females and it is devastating for a family. The disorder can lead to a child being profoundly disabled, with multiple health problems including epilepsy, curvature of the spine, breathing problems, feeding difficulties and gut/bowel issues. Rett UK is there to pick up the pieces; providing emotional support, high quality accurate advice & information, advocacy, reducing isolation, empowering families, building emotional resilience and helping the person with Rett syndrome live a life worth living.

Please note that I am entirely self sponsored for this event and that all my travel costs, accommodation, entry-fees and equipment have been paid for by me. All monies donated to this outstanding charity will go straight to Rett UK.
