Story
Hi All,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm going to jump out of a perfectly working plane next Sunday 15th November for a very good cause and would appreciate your help in raising funds to increase awareness of and ultimately help the people, mainly children, affected by hunger around the world.
Your welcome donation, big or small, will go towards fighting hunger and malnutrition worldwide. Action Against Hunger's (www.actionagainsthunger.org.uk) teams provide for people's immediate needs when food is scarce and provide families with the tools, seeds and support they need to build a sustainable future.
Here's what your money can buy;
£1 could help a farmer produce 4kg of rice to feed his family for 4 days
£18 could buy a basic emergency kit including plastice sheeting, blankets, soap and other items for survivors of the most recent Cyclone Nargis, amongst other natural disasters
£27 could buy 1 complete survival kit, necessary to save the life of a severely malnourished child in less than 4 weeks
£250 could help provide fluids for 50 children suffering from cholera in the Dem. Rep of Congo
I understand this year has been tough on us all and Christmas is just around the corner, but just think how much tougher it has been on those that have less than us, so please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks in advance,
Colin
