Three years ago, my big brother and inspiration Andrew, was struck down with a rare auto immune condition called dermatomyositis. It has changed his life and throughout these tough years, he has remained incredibly stoic and determined to beat it. The wonderful Myositis UK charity needs more funding for ongoing research to help improve treatments and diagnosis. 

The Tour de France idea started off as a personal challenge for myself and a friend. After a few recent setbacks in Andrew's health, I decided to complete this for him and hopefully raise money in the process. The physical, mental and emotional challenges that I'll face whilst cycling through France over the next three weeks, is nothing compared to what Andrew has to go through on a daily basis. Yet, not once has he complained about it and I'm hoping his positivity will help me reach Les Champs-Elysees. 

My target is £2,200, a pound for every mile. Thank you for helping me reach the target!
