RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am participating in The Isle of Man half Marathon on Sunday 14 August 2011 in full All Weather Lifeboat Crew kit (minus helmet & wellies) this is part of my training programme for The Isle of Man End to End walk, a 39.5 mile route from the Point of Ayre progressing down the West coast of the Island, finishing at The Sound.

I am raising funds for Port Erin RNLI, being a former crew member & Employee of The RNLI I understand the importance of donations to this cause for instance it costs the RNLI £1,010 to kit out one crew member in protective gear.
