Story

Janice, a College tutor at Guildford, has recently successfully completed treatment for breast cancer.  During her diagnosis and six months of treatment Breast Cancer Care were there for her, offering invaluable support, advice and information.

Fifteen of her colleagues are now joining with her to walk 20 miles to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause and, in doing so, to remember family, friends and loved ones who have been affected by this disease.

The team is made up of Janice Collino, Nikki Letley, Sheila Bramley, Lyn Newdick, Andrea Cartledge, Veronica Oldfield, Carole McCann, Vicky Dickson, Janet Darke, Judith Pascoe, Lindsey George, Suzanne Timms, Claire Lillywhite, Helen Watson, Jill Cheesman and Rachel Massey

1 in 9 women in the UK will suffer from breast cancer at some point in their lives, and in 2006 alone more than 45,500 women were diagnosed with breast cancer - that's around 125 women every day.  It's not only women who can suffer from breast cancer - around 300 men are diagnosed with it every year.  The incidence of breast cancer has increased by 84% since records began in the UK in 1971.

Please give generously to support a charity that works tirelessly to ensure that everyone affected by this disease gets the best possible treatment, information and support.

Thank you so much for your support, it means a lot to us.
