Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit thisJustGiving page.

I have set this page up on behalf of the members of the Saltaire Commando Fit Group who are taking part in the 2012 Cumbrian Commotion on 24th March.

Since we all train in the Saltaire area we wanted to try and raise some money for the local area and picked the Glen Tramway. Not that we use the tram much in our training but we do spend a lot of our time running up and down the (steep) footpath that runs alongside it.

The Glen Tramway is a charity that tries to keep the oldest cable tramway in the UK working. You can see more details of their activities on the following site http://www.glentramway.co.uk/

Thanks to Sarah for the pictures of some of her family enjoying a ride on the tram

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please contribute anything you can to help us try and preserve some of our local heritage
