Story

Con passed away on Friday 16th October after a relatively short illness, in hospital, and surrounded by his loving wife and family.

As the Founder and Managing Director of Choice Discount Stores Ltd., the staff of Choice share in the sadness of his loss.

He gave generously of his time and offered support, both financially and personally, to many charitable and worthy causes.

It seems only fitting that one of those charities that was close to his heart, Fair Havens Hospice, should benefit from funds raised through this Just Giving page, in Con’s memory.

The family are thankful for the many words of wisdom and support that has been offered at this most difficult time.  Kath and the family have enormous gratitude for the dedication and care shown to Con by the doctors and nurses at Southend Hospital.

Further comfort has been gained by the touching gesture offered by Castle Point Council, who have agreed to erect a memorial bench in Con’s name, and which will be placed directly opposite the Choice Head Office and Hadleigh Store.  This should be in place by Christmas, and a more fitting tribute would be hard to find.

Con’s funeral has been arranged for Wednesday, 4th November 2015.  Anyone wishing to attend should contact the family for further details.

A man with a huge, unique, generous and charismatic personality – he will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
