We empower our peers in music and events to protect their wellbeing
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.I was lucky enough to win a ballot entry for the London Marathon this year. To be honest I've been finding the training extremely difficult. Has been a very tough few months physically and mentally but have been slowly building up the fitness.
In this kind of thing every little bit of support makes a massive difference so have decided to try to raise much needed funds for Music Support, a UK charity that helps those who work in music and live events affected by mental ill-health and/or addiction. Every penny counts and makes a huge difference to their work:
· £5 could help to answer a Helpline call that could save someone’s life
· £10 could contribute towards the cost of a clinical assessment to determine thetreatment required for a beneficiary in crisis
· £20 could contribute towards a bursary so that Music Support can provide freeMental Health First Aid or Addiction and Recovery training for an industry freelancer
· £30 could contribute towards the cost of a ‘Safe Hub’ backstage at festivals
· £50 could contribute towards a beneficiary’s detox and/or residential treatment, starting their journey into recovery and providing hope for the future
Music Support is a registered charity that helps peers who work in music and live events affected by mental ill-health and/or addiction. Our core services include a confidential Helpline, training in Mental Health First Aid and Addiction & Recovery awareness and Safe Hubs backstage at festivals.
