Ravi's Concert for PAPYRUS · 28 November 2014

PAPYRUS is the national charity for the prevention of young suicide. We run HOPELINE247 0800 068 4141 a freephone confidential helpline staffed by trained professionals who give advice, support & information to anyone who is feeling suicidal, or concerned that a young person they know may be at risk

Story

On 28th November, at 7.30pm at Didsbury Baptist Church, we are holding a charity concert to raise money for Papyrus, a charity that works to prevent youth suicide.  You've probably heard of the tragic suicide of one of our school peers in September. At the time, the school found the help of Papyrus invaluable and a group of students thought it was time for us to give back. If we can raise £350 we would enable a trained mental health worker from Papyrus to deliver 5 class room sessions on suicide awareness to teachers and students. Every £50 extra above that that we can raise would allow Papyrus to keep their helpline, text and e-mail services running for over an hour.

Tickets for the concert are available for a minimum donation of £5 per person or £2.50 for under 12s and you can get them on the night, but if you want to buy them in advance please make a donation here and message me to let me know how many tickets you are after.

On the night we will also be collecting extra donations and selling raffle tickets. Bring your family and friends! It will be great to see you there.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I've also set up a Givey site (www.givey.com/concertforpapyrus).  Givey gives 100% of the money donating (plus gift aid) to the charity, Justgiving holds on to some of the money.  Please pick whichever is easiest for you.
