RCN Congress Zip Wire · 21 June 2015

Every day, thousands of people rely on the care of nurses, midwives and health care professionals. The RCN Foundation gives vital support back to these caring professionals. We safeguard nurses in need, invest in nursing care and support learning development for nursing staff.

Story

We are over coming our fear of heights and speed at RCN Congress - as a branch we wanted to support the RCN Foundation, we thought that this would be a great way of doing it whilst at RCN Congress.

RCN Foundation is an independent charity, supporting the nursing community to improve the health and well-being of the public.

The RCN Foundation supports the needs of nurses, midwives and health care assistants as well as nursing students.

What they do

As a registered charity they help individuals to develop their practice so that they can provide the very best possible advice, support and care to patients.  They achieve this through awarding project grants and bursaries.

Additionally, there hardship funding provides assistance to members of the nursing team in times of need, providing that extra support they may need to get their lives back on track
