Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may know I've developed an unhealthy obsession with running over the last year or so. I've decided that I'm going to do one challenge a year for charity so what am I planning this year(next year it's the Berlin marathon)?
At the end of June I'll be carrying out a 2 part challenge over 7 days to raise money for the Leeds Rugby Foundation and the Jane Tomlinson appeal (any money I raise will be split 50/50 between these 2 charities).
The first part of the challenge is running the Humber Bridge Half Marathon on 27/6 which involves running over the famous bridge twice. The following week I'll be taking part in the Leeds 10k which might not be much fun after running 13.2 miles the week before.
Here's a bit about the Leeds Rugby Foundation:
"The foundation delivers a range of services and activities that aim to improve the lives of young people throughout Leeds and Yorkshire. Our services including rugby and sports coaching in schools and junior clubs, Activity Camps, Lifestyle presentations, Health and Social inclusion projects. The foundation epitomises the culture of Leeds Rugby and has provided opportunities for thousands of youngsters to develop themselves in sport, health and education."
The Jane Tomlinson Appeal raises money for children's and cancer charities:
"The Jane Tomlinson Appeal was established by the late Jane Tomlinson CBE to raise funds for children's and cancer charities. The charities that have benefited from Jane's support cover all areas related to ill health and particularly cancer, including medical research, cancer treatment and specialist care."
