Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising awareness for Alzeimers patients everywhere, because I lost my grandma to Alzeimers about a year ago, it felt horrible having to explain things to her as if she were a 5 year old. She would refuse to eat and tried to hide food around the house because eventually she couldn't recognise me or any other family member and must have thought we were evil for trying to get her to eat. She was bed bound because she broke her hip in a fall, after she decided to go to a bar because I had forgotten to get her daily bottle of wine from the supermarket. She was an alcoholic, and needed to drink so she went out,and fell. Not necesarilly because she was drunk but because there was a step to get from one part of the bar to the other and she didn't see it.

She broke her hip,the doctors stitched it up for her and sent her home where we had to look after her, my dad would stay the night with her because she liked to get up and walk around, she couldn't

She eventually ended up in hospital, because she got worse and very weak, she had to be fed through tubes and strapped down because she would fight the doctors when they brought food.

It was horrible to see her like that, strapped to the bed.

If you aren't able to donate please share this.
