Story

As many of you know, most likely through us talking about our next training run or complaining about last one, Tom & I have registered to take on the continuous Thames Path 100km challenge in September to mark 15 years since Tom lost his wonderful mum Jane to cancer.  We are attempting to raise money for Hospiscare to thank them for the incredible support they gave to Jane and her family and also to the thousands of other families they have helped during the lifetime of this incredible charity.

Thinking back to the moment we registered to take on this 100km ultra marathon, it is safe to say we hugely underestimated the distance and inordinately overestimated our abilities.  Whilst dragging ourselves through the last kilometre of one of our first excruciatingly long and painful training runs the realisation we had not even reached the 25% mark was almost enough to overcome our naive determination!   But if ever there was something to keep you going this wonderful cause really is that.

We are hoping to raise as much as possible for Hospiscare to go some way to thank them for being there when people need it most.

Thank you so much for donating and thinking of us!
