Story

In June, a very special person died after battling with Cancer for 12 years. Gillian was a very selfless person who always thought of others and never complained about her own battles.

She was a loving Wife, Mother, Nana, Sister and Auntie. She was someone who always saw the best in people, full of kindness and positivity.

Throughout her illness she was supported by Macmillan Nurses, who were the nicest of people you could ever meet.

In November, several members of Gillian's family (Sandra (her sister who has never run more than 3 miles) Craig, Amy, and Chloe, plus several members from SmoothTri... Jonny, Libby, Neil, Russ, Dave, Wayne, Chris, Helen, Brett, Pete, Antony and Tyler) are taking part in Hell of Hill, a gruelling trail marathon based around Rivington Pike.

This Marathons are set over 5 days - a marathon on each day starting on the Wednesday and finishing Sunday covering over 20,000 feet of climbing. Craig will be completing ALL 5 along with Brett, others will be completing marathons on selected days (for most this is their first Marathon and one of the toughest to complete!)

All we are asking for in return is for you to donate to help raise money to give back to Macmillan a little something to thank them for all their support and guidance they provided over the 12 years, and to enable them to continue their amazing care.
