I'm Craig Wright- a 43- year-old former soldier who now works as a British Transport Police officer in Edinburgh. My service has taught me many important lessons and skills like resilience, teamwork, and the importance of looking out for each other. That's why I'm taking on this challenge.

I have set a goal of completing the Edinburgh half marathon on May 24th 2026 with the aim of raising money for a very worthy cause.

Scottish Veterans Residency does more than just house homeless veterans from all branches of the military. They provide support services and ongoing assistance for residents. I will be running in this event on their behalf.

However....

Between now and the Edinburgh Half Marathon on 24th May 2026, I have an extra challenge of running 190 miles, the distance
between Scottish Veterans Residences' three locations - to raise more funds for those who served our
country and now need our support.
SVR provides not just housing but hope for former UK Armed Forces members who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Every mile I run is for those who once stood in any uniform and now need a safe place to call home.
